Flying Infinity Ranch Beef sales arose from our efforts to create a market for this breed. When people taste this amazingly great beef and demand more supply it will hopefully encourage other ranchers to raise them.
We keep our pure-bred heifer calves (heifer = girl calves that have never had a calf) to provide breeding animals for other ranchers.
The Cattlemen’s Texas Longhorn Registry reports there are fewer than 2000 historically correct, genetically pure Texas Longhorn cattle in existence. These animals’ genealogy descends only from Iberian stock brought to the New World by Spanish explorers in the 1500's with no recent genetic mixing from other breeds. They are endangered and not found at local cattle auctions, unlike most other beef breeds.
